Vincente Campos
TRUMPETER
Vicente Campos began his musical studies at the School of Music in Montserrat (Valencia) then continued at the Superior Music Conservatory of Valencia under the esteemed pedagogue Vicente Prats. Campos won the Special Award of Honor specializing in Trumpet, First Prize at the Young Musicians Award and the Mariano Puig Prize for his performances.

Academically, Vicente Campos’s career is equally distinguished. After completing his Master’s Degree in Musical Aesthetics and Creativity from the University of Valencia, he went on to obtain the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) and his PhD at the University of Valencia.
Vincente Campos appears regularly as a soloist by popular demand with major orchestras and ensembles in Spain. He has also appeared as a guest soloist all over Europe, and North and South America. His discography includes solo concertos with orchestras and chamber groups. He is equally at home with repertoire for the modern trumpet and the baroque trumpet. In particular, his recording of “Concerti Accademici” by Francisco José de Castro with the “Collegium instrumentale” received the highest praise from Goldberg magazine.

Vicente Campos is highly respected as a teacher and has mentored at least a generation and more of the top trumpeters in his native Spain. He is an artistic director of several music festivals including in Montserrat (Valencia) where he undertook his early studies.
